The ADHD Misinformation Crisis on Social Media
Between half and nine-in-ten of the most-watched ADHD videos on TikTok contain misleading or non-diagnostic information. We quantified the problem across six peer-reviewed studies, mapped the viral myths against what ADHD cognition research actually shows, and documented the downstream effects on self-diagnosis and clinical services.
